Great Weekend!

A hectic but extremely enjoyable weekend has just passed by and I thought I should detail the shenanigans that occurred.Friday played host to my 26th birthday and I celebrated with a joint party with my friends Russ who was 30 and Rich who was 21. Loads of people came including my old work pals Ryan and Matt, my parents and little sister saw fit to turn up as a surprise which was really great! I hope all had a good night, I know I did.Saturday morning was a delicate affair as you can probably imagine and Bobbie and I spent the day with my family in Eastbourne town doing a little window shopping and reflecting on the past evenings events. That evening we went to the Marine pub with Bobbies parents and had a really good meal and quite a few laughs even though I only drank a glass of wine with dinner because I was still feeling a tad delicate! On Sunday we thought we would play the weekend out with a large BBQ in celebration of myself and Bobbie leaving the UK for a warmer climate. Even more people turned up for this meat fest than Fridays party, and what we thought would be a calm day of burgers and the odd beer turned into a near 12 hour drinking session, with pumping tunes, a live band and a great song adapted for our trip by our friends Russ and Martin. The song was adapted from Green Day’s “Good Riddance (The Time of your life)” and this is how it went…

“Another turning point, a fork stuck in the roadtime grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to goso make the best of this test, and don’t ask whyit’s not a question but a lesson learned in time

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s rightwe hope you have the time of your lives

New York and Vegas, San Francisco here we comeHawaii, Cook Island, your bound to see the sunso take the dare and do a jump in New Zealandnow finally onto Oz, for the sun, sea and sand

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s rightwe hope you have the time of your lives

So take the photographs and still frames in your mindload them on your site, so we can share your timestattoos of memories and photographs on filefor what it’s worth, it’s worth all the while

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s rightwe hope you have the time of your lives

This performance brought quite a few tears to the eye and was a really touching thing for the guys to do, so we thank them with all our hearts for doing it.

It was a really great way to finish of the weekend (a drunken one, but great all the same) and it was also an emotional roller coaster as I think its starting to sink in that we are actually going away for a whole year. We would just like to say that to everyone we know, we love you all and we will miss you very very much. We would also like to thank Bobbies parents for hosting this mammoth BBQ.
